Hi, I’m Roberto Cornacchia.

By day, I am a co-founder of Spinque, a company we spun off from the Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam (where I also got my PhD). As an Information Retrieval and database specialist, I work at the intersection of high-performance databases and search technology.

By night (and sometimes over long weekends), I dance Lindy Hop and build slightly mad side projects to see how far I can stretch technology.

My blog, SwingBit, is named after these two passions: swinging bits in code, and a bit of swing on the dance floor.
